Make your photos and videos available on all your devices with iCloud Photos. Or store them locally only on your Mac or PC.
Apple has removed the direct link between the Photos app and Facebook in macOS Mojave. But it is still easy to upload Photos to Facebook using the Facebook website. You can use the Media option in the file open dialog, drag and drop into the file open dialog, drag directly onto the Facebook page, and a variety of other options. If you have trouble picking out a photo this way, you can always.
Drag and drop works fine on the new Mac Force Touch trackpads, use it frequently, though when you first encounter it on a new Mac, it does take a little getting used to. The secondary force click is smart enough to not activate while dragging, too.
Go back to your Mac. Drag and drop images to the Finder. Select the name of your iPhone’s. You will see the prompt of receiving on your iPhone. Click “Save” to get transferred photos from Mac to iPhone. You can also choose to transfer photos from Mac to iPhone.
Then, whenever you open the Photos app on your Mac, it will access this drive and show you your photos (as long as it's plugged in, of course!). You can drag and drop.
iCloud Photos
iCloud Photos keeps your photos and videos safe, up to date, and available automatically on all of your Apple devices, on iCloud.com, and even your PC. iCloud Photos always uploads and stores your original, full-resolution photos. You can keep full-resolution originals on each of your devices, or save space with device-optimized versions instead. Either way, you can download your originals whenever you need them. Any organizational changes or edits you make are always kept up to date across all your devices.
The photos and videos that you keep in iCloud Photos use your iCloud storage. Before you turn on iCloud Photos, make sure that you have enough space in iCloud to store your entire collection. You can see how much space you need and then upgrade your storage plan if necessary.

Add photos and videos on a Mac
To add photos and videos from Photos into iMovie projects on your Mac, use the Libraries list in iMovie or drag them into iMovie from the Photos app.
Use the Libraries list in the iMovie sidebar
You can access your photo library in the Photos app from within iMovie:
In the left-hand sidebar of the iMovie window, select Photos.
Click the pop-up menu at the top of the browser to choose a content category—My Albums, Albums, Years, Collections, Moments, or Places.
When you find the photo or video you’d like to use, drag it into the timeline of your project. If you add a photo, it appears for 3 to 6 seconds in your project, depending on the length of the transitions next to the photo. You can trim the photo in the timeline so it appears for a shorter or longer amount of time in your video.
To replace an existing clip, drag the photo or video onto the clip you want to replace, then choose one of the replacement options.
If Photos isn't in the Libraries list, your Photos Library might not be designated as your System Photo Library. You can always drag photos and movies into your iMovie project.
